The Way Out Is In is an experimental documentary on the intersections of analog sythesis and the Buddhist philosophy of Interbeing. It features video footage from the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya in Colorado, which I traveled to during my artist-in-residency at Signal Culture, in Loveland, CO. The title is a reference to Thich Nhat Hanh. d’Andriole is a practicing Buddhist within the Plum Village tradition and received her transmission of knowledge in 2024.
In 2026, this work was included in d’Andriole’s solo exhibition at Cornel College, the Alumni Group Exhibition at the Melton Gallery in Edmond, Oklahoma, and in the Circle Group Exhibition at the CICA Museum in South Korea.
